Mr. William Anderson Wiggins, 94, husband of the late Beatrice Chastain Wiggins, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Heritage Health Care.

Born in Anderson County, a son of the late William Lee and Lillie Kennemore Wiggins, Mr. Wiggins was a graduate of Easley High School and attended Central Wesleyan College as a Theology Student. He retired from Alice Manufacturing Company after fifty-four years of service and was a member of United Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are one son, Monty Wiggins (Linda) of Taylors; two daughters, Candace Wiggins of Athens, GA. and Cynthia Hammond of Greenville; one brother, James Wiggins of Easley; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife of fifty-three years and his parents, Mr. Wiggins was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Horace Wiggins and four sisters, Cecil Morton, Grace Caldwell, Doris Owens and Kathleen McCollum.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The Men's Bible Class of United Wesleyan Church are asked to serve as the escort of honor.


Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

The families are at their respective homes.
