William Terry Williams, 76, died Monday, February 8, 2010, at his home.
Born in Pickens County, the son of the late George Elliot and Nannie Griffin Williams, Mr. Williams was the retired owner of Oconee Concrete and a member of Arial Methodist Church. Mr. Williams was a veteran having served in the United States Navy and served as a South Carolina State Constable. He was a pilot and served on the Oconee County Aeronautics Commission, and was the founder and developer of Williamsport Air Park, in Easley.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Williams, of the home; one son, Brett Williams of Easley; four daughters, Fonda Dyar and Jan Cromer, both of Seneca; Paula Williams of Easley; and Shea Smith of Rock Hill; a sister, Jane Williams of Easley; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A private family graveside service was held in the Westview Cemetery, Easley.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Laurel Hill Nursing Home and Interim Health Care for the care and love they provided for Mr. Williams.
