Charles Washburn, 90, passed away November 14, 2021.

Born December 9, 1930, in Cleveland County, NC, he was a son of the late Waylon and Frances Barnette Washburn.

Charles was a veteran of the US Army, he loved to bowl, and was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church where he kept the Sunday School records.

Surviving is his wife Sue Vess Washburn; sons Larry Charles Washburn (Kim) of Easley, and Gary Brooks Washburn (Amity) of Slabtown; grandchildren, John Wesley "Wes" and Justin David Washburn, Andrew Pelfrey and Amberly Eiss; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Charlie, Nora Grace, Emerson, Hudson, Xander Turner; and siblings, Troy Washburn of Lattimore, NC, and Johnny Washburn of Mississippi.

In Addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Terry W. Hyatt; his brothers, Billy, Carl, and Tyree Washburn; and his sisters Margaret Godfrey, Earline Green, and Patsy.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at Monaghan Baptist Church, 1500 W. Parker Road, Greenville, SC 29617, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Entombment will be in the mausoleum of Graceland East Memorial Park in Simpsonville.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.

The family will be at their respective homes.
