Willie Jackson "Jack" McNeely, 88, of Easley, husband to Frances Jeanette Anderson McNeely, passed peacefully surrounded by his family Saturday, December 17, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Greenville County to the late Willie Stephen and Frances Mildred Young McNeely.
Jack was a member of Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Easley for 30 years where he served his church in many capacities. He was a member of the Koinonia Sunday School Class. Jack owned his own business, McNeely Radiator Repair, for many years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and traveling. Jack adored his family. He genuinely loved and cared for his family always teaching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren the value of faith in God, family, and hard work.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his son, Brian Jackson McNeely, sister, Peggy Ann McNeely Findley, and brothers, Louis Thomas McNeely and James Stephen McNeely.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 71 years; children, Beth McNeely Bray (Tom) of Easley, Steve McNeely (Judy) of Easley, and Jami McNeely Crisman of Duncan; brother, Ronald Dale McNeely (Carol) of Easley; daughter-in-law, Debra "Debbie" Hill McNeely; sister-in-law, June McNeely; grandchildren, Jon Bray (Alicia) and children, Avery, Chloe and Sawyer, Whitney Bray Nash (Judd) and children, Bray and Jackson, Ellis McNeely (Bobbi Jo), Joe McNeely, Abby McNeely, Torry Crisman, Matthew Crisman, Annie McNeely, Drew Brittain (McKenzie), Crystal Garrett Thornburg (Brian) and children, Brody and Bailey, and Tyler Garrett; special friend, Beverly McElrath.
Funeral service will be held Monday, December 19th at 2:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 1623 Hester Store Rd, Easley, with Reverend Paul Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
The family is at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Judy McNeely.
Flowers will be accepted, and memorials may be made directly to Mt Carmel Baptist Church to honor the memory of Jack.
