WILLIE MACK “MIDNIGHT” STANSELL Jr., 84, of Easley, South Carolina, passed away on 21 May 2026 at The Willows of Easley.
Born in Easley, he was the son of the late Willie Mack Stansell Sr. and Marie Vinson Stansell. Willie was a graduate of Easley High School, Class of 1960, and attended Clemson University in Textile Management. He was a former co-owner of Capri’s Italian and retired from J.P. Stevens & Co.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Willie was a lifelong son of the Easley community. He was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church and deeply admired First Baptist Church of Easley and Rev. Dr. John Adams. Willie served as President of the Easley Jaycees, coached East End Elementary Little League football, taught Sunday School, Past President of the Studebaker Drivers Club of South Carolina, and was known for his love of family and service to others.
Willie had many passions, including restoring classic cars, gardening, caring for animals, and especially golf. A former scratch golfer and devoted member of “Arnie’s Army,” he enjoyed playing courses across the country and in Hawaii.
Surviving are his brother, Charles E. Stansell; Step Mother Geraldine Stansell; daughter, Tami S. Reeves (Scott) of Easley; son, Willie Mack Stansell III (Sue Ella) of Beaufort; grandchildren, Scotty Reeves, Zach Reeves (Ashlee), Trace Reeves, Logan Reeves (Meghan), Willie Mack Stansell IV, Sandra Katherine Stansell, and Jade Swords Dugdale (Rick); and eleven great-grandchildren and his companion of 30 years Pasty Powell.
In addition to his parents, Willie was predeceased by his first wife, Sandra Smith Brooks, and brothers, Jerrell Stansell and Dean Stansell.
In conjunction with Robinson Funeral Home, the family will conduct graveside funeral services at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Sunday, 24 May 2026, at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Dr. John Adams.
The family extends sincere gratitude to Prisma Baptist Easley Hospital, The Willows of Easley, and Hospice of the Upstate for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pickens County Humane Society
