Willis Dale Misner

Willis Dale Misner, of Easley, SC went home to be with his Lord at the age of 85 on July 2, 2026, after battling cancer for 2 1/2 years. Born in Grapeville, PA, on Sept 3, 1940, his life was a testament of love, laughter, and dedication.

Willis was a man who loved the Lord and served him faithfully for 52 years at Jones Avenue Baptist Church. He also had a love of Legos and began collecting them in 1968. At his last count he had over 400,000 Legos. He met no stranger and talked to anyone he could with a smile and the warmth of God’s love. In addition to serving his Lord, he served his country for 4 years in the Marine Corp’s. His smile, faith, and stories will be remembered and carried in our hearts.

Willis was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, one sister, and a beloved grandson, David Wayne Misner.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Lou Howe Misner and their two children: Wayne Misner of Easley, SC and Debbie Misner Lanier of Stuart, FL.

Willis and Mary’s love story is one that will be remembered, cherished, and admired. Throughout their journey together, God has faithfully watched over them and played an important role in their marriage. Their unwavering faith, devotion, and commitment to one another as been a beautiful testament to the power of love. For 64 wonderful years they have inspired family and friends with a marriage built on faith, respect, and enduring love.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Jones Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the church.
