Wilma Laverne Chappell Youngblood, 77, wife of the late James Alton Youngblood, passed away Thursday October 2, 2014 at Heritage Healthcare of Pickens.

Born in Greenville, to the late William Sanford and Lucy Dodgens Chappell, Wilma, when able, enjoyed trout fishing at the lake and while at Heritage Healthcare of Pickens, she never missed Bingo. More than anything, she loved her family with whom she made and cherished so many memories. She was a one of a kind woman who loved life and went through it with a smile on her face. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Surviving are three sons, James Youngblood, Jr. (Diane) of Easley, Charles Wesley Youngblood (Shirley) of Pickens and Darren Youngblood (Gina) of Walhalla; a daughter, Gail Blair (Harry) of Pickens; three sisters, Betty Clark of Pickens, Barbara Hudson and Pat Rockwell, both of Easley; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Tony Kenneth Youngblood; two brothers, Garland and Kenneth Chappell; and six sisters, Floree Hendricks, Frances Wilson, Avanell Nix, Louise Murphy, Laura Pierce and Sybil Billingsley.

Memorial services will be 1:30 P.M. Sunday, October 5, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley.

The family is at their respective residences.
