Wint “Rut” Rutledge Galloway

Wint “Rut” Rutledge Galloway, 79, of Easley, loving husband of Dianne Holland Galloway, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
Born in Easley, he was the son of the late Winford Americus and Areta Rutledge Galloway. Rut was a 1961 graduate of Easley High School and a 1965 graduate of Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After coaching and teaching for several years, and proudly serving his country in the US Army Reserve, he founded Galloway-Bell, Inc. He could be found outdoors in his free time, hunting, fly fishing, and spending time with the many friends he made over the years. He was very active in the community as a member of the Easley Rotary Club and was one of the founders of Peoples National Bank. Rut was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Greenville. He loved his Lord, family, and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his loving wife of 53 years, Wint is survived by three sons, Bret Galloway (April) of Daniel Island, SC, Heath Galloway (Sara) of Richmond, VA, and Cally Galloway (Rhem) of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Holland, Wint, Syms, and Sam Galloway; and a niece, Lisa McDonald Norris of Sunset, SC.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Myra Galloway McDonald.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in the Sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, Greenville, 200 W. Washington Street, Greenville, SC 29601.
