Mr. William Thomas "Dub" Nalley, 91, husband of the late Carol Cameron Nalley, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 surrounded with love from the caregivers of Cottingham Hospice House and his loving family.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Olin Eugene Nalley, Sr. and the late Hortense Durham Nalley, Mr. Nalley retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was a US Army Veteran having served in WWII.
Surviving are five daughters, Audrey Nalley, Pat Reynolds (Earl), Gayle Griffin (Tom), Debbie Garrett (Tony), and Sheri Wingo (Hal); a son, Bill Nalley (Sharon); one sister, Cornelia Bowen; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Nalley was predeceased by his first wife, Charlene Queen Nalley; a son, Charles T. Nalley; five brothers, Ford, Homer, Olin, Ray and Haskell Nalley; and a sister, Sarah Corn.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Rev. James McCoy-Bruce, Rev. Matthew Danuser and Commander Bill Quinton officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park with military honors.
Pallbearers will be Bill Nalley, Hal Wingo, Tony Garrett, Bryan Nalley, Leigh Dunn and Ty Ballenger.
The family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
