Wylie A. Albertson

Wylie A. Albertson, 74, of 308 Couch Lane, died Sunday, January 18, 2009, at Riverside Living Center.
Born in Anderson County, a son of the late Henry Franklin and Ruby Bishop Albertson, Mr. Albertson was a building contractor for over 47 years, a farmer, a charter member, former deacon and chairman of the Building and Grounds Committe for Powdersville First Baptist Church, a former Chairman of the Southside Water District, and a member of Woodman of the World.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Helen Gillespie Albertson of the home; three sons, Phil Albertson and wife, Beth, Mark Albertson and wife, Angie, and John Albertson all of Easley; one daughter, Cindy Pepper and husband, Jeff, of Easley; seven brothers, Frank "Dock" Albertson, Dan Albertson, Harold Albertson, Truman Albertson, Jerry Albertson, Jimmy Albertson and Ozell Albertson, all of Easley; two sisters, Sue Whitman of Greensboro, NC, Della Thompson of Easley; seven grandchildren, Josh Albertson, Jacob Albertson, Gabriel Albertson, Ashleigh Sarratt, Hannah Albertson, Adam Pepper and Emma Pepper.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Albertson was predeceased by one daughter, Pamela Elizabeth Albertson; four brothers, William Ray Albertson, Judge Albertson, Willard Albertson and Colonel Albertson, and five sisters, Rosa Lee James, Bernice Gilstrap, Ellie Clardy, Dolar Holder and Mae Albertson.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with Revs. John Wayne Revis and Brad Atkins officiating. Entombment will follow in the Bell Tower Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 1:30 until 3 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
The family is at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Powdersville First Baptist Church, 4212, Highway 153, Easley, SC 29642.
