Yates Vaughn "Buzz" Phillips, 74, of 101 Pilgrim Drive, passed away Friday February 25, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Phillips was born in Inman, SC, a son of the late Thomas Romeo and Bessie Richardson Phillips. He retired as a maintenance supervisor at Wendy's - Tarhill Capital and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth "Libby" Walker Phillips, of the home; two daughters, Debbie Reeves and husband, Barry, of Liberty, SC and Nancy Ford, of Albermarle, NC; a sister, Ruby Howard and husband, Olin, of Inman, SC; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Jarrett.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with the Reverend Dr. Roger Couch officiating. Entombment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens - Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
