Zadell Cox Fowler

Zadell Cox Fowler, 86, of 118 Rice Street, departed to her heavenly reward, Friday, June 17, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family after several months of illness.
Welcomed to life, May 15, 1925 in Green River, NC, by the late William Herbert and Ella Louise Ward Cox, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Clarence S. "Shorty" Fowler. Mrs. Fowler was retired from Kent Manufacturing, Runnymede Plant and was a faithful member of United Wesleyan Church and the Ladies' Bible Class.
Surviving are two daughters, Sylvia F. Patterson (Ross) of Easley and Kathy F. Watson (Jack) of Powdersville; son, James Carroll Fowler (Collette) of Santa Ana, CA; grandchildren Shawn Fowler (Amy) of St. Joseph, MO, Aaron Fowler (Charlene) of Santa Ana, CA, Lynn Powell (Randall) of Liberty, Michelle Rogers (John) of Easley, Drew Watson of Powdersville, Richard Watson (Tonia) of Livermore, CA, Heather Snipes (Tim) of Belton; six great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons. Mrs. Fowler was also predeceased by two sisters, a brother and a special uncle.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Sunday, June 19, 2011 at United Wesleyan Church with Pastor Tim Jones officiating and assisted by Pastors Lawrence Keever and Donnie Massingill. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday and will be placed in the church at 2:00 PM on Sunday.
The escort of honor will be the Ladies' Bible Class of the church. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family wishes to express their thanks to VistaCare Hospice and her very special nurse, Delores Ward.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of United Wesleyan Church, 738 Rice Road, Easley, SC 29640.
