Zelda Day Fant- Easley
Zelda Rampey Day Fant, 95, formerly of 500 Rampey Street, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 at National Health Care in Anderson, SC.
Born in Pickens, she was the daughter of of the late Aude McDuffie and Eunice Davis Rampey. She retired from Alice Manufacturing after 48 years of service and was an avid piano player. Mrs. Fant was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Bing Day (Jan) of Piedmont; one daughter, Jean Day Thomas of Clemson; a step-son, Frank Fant of Pickens; a step-daughter, Julia Looper of Easley; grandchildren, Sam Thomas (Margee), Beth Bennett (James); great-grandchildren, Patrick, Stuart, and Elizabeth Thomas.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fant was predeceased by her first husband, Sam Day; her second husband, Sam Fant; her oldest grandson, Brandon Day; and a son-in-law, John B. Thomas.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Calvary Hill Baptist Church, with the Reverend Rodney Jeanes officiating. A private burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Foundation of Geriatric Education, PO Box 1327, Anderson, SC 29622.
