Mrs. Zelma Louise Roper Hamilton Roscoe, 70, of Charlotte, NC, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at home Monday, July 20, 2015.
Zelma was born June 9, 1945 in Central, daughter of the late John Samuel Roper and Margaret Francis Price Roper. Zelma, late husband George Hamilton and oldest daughter moved to Charlotte, NC in 1970. She was employed with Harris Teeter the past 40 years.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Edward Roscoe of Charlotte, NC; daughters Cynthia Melendez, Georgette Morris and husband Rickie Morris, Jr; Crystal Hamilton and TJ Harris, all of Charlotte, NC; Cynthia Johnson and husband Jessie Johnson of Gastonia, NC; ten grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; brother Wilton Roper of Clemson, SC; sisters Rachel Morrison of Central, SC; Dorothy Traynum of Pendleton, SC; and Reba Smith of Clemson, SC.
In addition to her first husband and parents, she was predeceased by one grandson, four brothers, three half-sisters and two half-brothers.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Friday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC with Rev. Gary Roper officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Clemson, SC.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:50 PM, Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
